Committee
The Caulfield Grammarians Football Club is administered and directed by a volunteer based committee led by President Will Bowes. The committee are united and committed to on field success whilst achieving two other primary goals:
1. Bring the fun back into the football
2. Create broader engagement within and across the extended Caulfield Grammarians Football Club community
Will Bowes - President
Will has been involved in the club since 1995 firstly playing 230 games for his beloved fields and then onto being a coach and committee member. Will has been involved in many successes being a 3 time premiership player and 3 time premiership coach.
Will aims with the committee to be very competitive in A Grade, in both the Men’s and Women’s. To provide the best support we can to our football departments to give them the best chance of success.
Off-field he aims to continue to build our capability and set ourselves up for growth. We are looking to commence a Welfare program to support our community and also to investigate the creation of a “Building Fund”.
Kate Wicks - Secretary
Kate is a very proud current CGFCW player, having joined the club in January 2020 after relocating from QLD – timing is not her strong point!
“CGFC and specifically the woman’s team provided an amazing support to me in the early days of my move to Melbourne. From the minute I turned up to my first training session and meet Neil Slonim and Alf Kingwill and the girl, I was made to feel welcome and now “Pressure Park” feels like my second home! I’m very grateful for the opportunity to give back to the club both on and off the field for this very special gift”
Keegan Stewart – Treasurer
Keegan is a current CGFC premiership player. His off-field work as Club Treasurer and on-field role as the ruckman / full forward for the Senior Men's team are both valued highly and Keegan is well respected by all at the club.
Luke Matias – Partnerships
Luke has been involved with CGFC since arriving in Australia in 2005, 13 years playing and 3 years as a Corporate Sponsor through Matias Group. Luke is very open and vocal about the support and mentorship that he has received through CGFC, and has an absolute passion around making sure the same opportunities can be realised, by more Fieldsmen and women every year.
“I owe a lot in my life to CGFC, and I think this can sometimes be taken for granted. We all know what a great community CGFC is, but we haven’t scratched the surface in just how valuable this network could be for all involved. Both the opportunity for corporate sponsors, and the opportunity for the young men and women moving through education, into sport and onwards”
Scott Williams – Football Operations
After first joining Caulfield Grammarians in 1988, Scott Williams has been there every season for the past 33 years.
He played 182 games for the Fields, captaining the Reserves, winning a Best & Fairest & forming part of the 2000 premiership team.

Jason Smith – Communications & Membership

Jason has filled many different roles for the clubs committee over many seasons including events, communications and the clubs secretary and recently recieved life membership of the club. This season he will focus on communications and membership to engage the entire CGFC community so they feel part of the club.
Rachael Cowdell - Welfare

Aiden Clarke - GM of Football
Caulfield Grammarians Football Club is thrilled to announce that former player Aiden Clarke has accepted the role of GM of Football. This role will oversee the development of all our football programs and is an exciting commitment by the club to continue to look to improve our football department.
Aiden played over 150 games at CGFC and captained 2 premiership sides, before also taking on some coaching responsibilities in recent seasons. He was the driving force behind the initiation of our Welfare Program and in his professional life he is the Head of Operations for AFL Publications at SEN. A passionate grammarian with football industry experience made Aiden a fantastic fit for this new role.
Will Kingwill - Women's Football
I have some really special on-field memories over my six years playing for CGFC, including a couple flags and some amazing wins. Despite this, the most rewarding part of being involved with this club has been the friendships and broader relationships that I have formed with players, coaches, medical staff, and club administration. I have really benefited personally from the guidance and mentorship provided by numerous people at the club and believe in the positive impact of being actively involved in a supportive and positive environment filled with great people.
The inclusion of the women's program at CGFC, first netball and now football, has been an amazing addition to our club. The explosion of women's football over the last five years is as exciting as it is overdue. I am really keen to be able to contribute to our women's program and foster a welcoming environment where players of all levels can get the most out of their time at the club, and hopefully win as many games as possible. I love what the club offers both on and off the field and I want to ensure that all of our female players know what they can get out of a club like ours.
