VAFA life member Geoff Reilley in his Retrospective column in the VAFA Record in 2013 looked back to 1983 and stated “Warwick (Wocka) Watson was considered one of Caulfield Grammarians most talented and versatile players of the past decade. And recorded his 150th game. Warwick joined the club from school and went straight into the firsts as they played in A, B and C grades. He won the best and fairest in 1979 and was runner-up in the VAFA B Section award in 1982. Warwick was also very active off the field for his club.”
Warwick has made an outstanding contribution to the Caulfield Grammarians Football Club for over 50 years both on and off the field. As Club President he was a tireless worker covering all aspects of the Club including sponsorship, membership, game day luncheons, bar management, VAFA liaison and the profile of CGFC, connection with CGS football program, history on the website and the financial consolidation of the Club. He was also instrumental in overseeing the construction and financial fund raising for the new electronic scoreboard project at Glenhuntly Park. He is still a passionate supporter of the club getting to most games and cheering on his beloved Fields.
We congratulate Warwick on this honor and thank him for everything he has done for the club over the last 50 years.
