Well well well. I'm guessing everyone is expecting a blow-by-blow account of the Progressive Dinner last Saturday night. I'm not going to do that. That isn't the way of Nanna Blog. Perhaps it would be better to point out some of the best performances of the night, in terms of dancefloor, dress-ups, and drinks.

Upon arrival, the Nanna Blog couldn't quite believe her little old eyes  at the amount of effort that was put in by most of the Progressive people. A for Effort folks. Simon Widjaja was among the votes in terms of the outfit, our little skipper leading the way with a bird's nest that eventually took its toll on the dancefloor. Rich Foote also put the N in nerd with an outfit that is more commonly seen an internet cafe's and that joint at Chaddy where they all go in and paint the little toy men. You know the store I mean. Sorry I can't name it, when you are elderly like myself the memory tends to fade a touch.

It was good of Hayden Baker to bring along his friend Noel Gallagher to the event, to mix it with the likes of Country Grammar's Nelly. Noddy also made a special appearance in the form of Matt Sundberg, a man who lit up each venue with his robust and vigorous movements to the pumping beats, especially The Presets 'My People'. Unfortunately for Noddy, his people (Big Ears), stood him up. A trio of Nuns watched over the behaviour of the other revellers, while Nintendo Wii's and Nicorette packs were available to those who felt the need of a bit of a switch-up.

The match in the afternoon definitely turned out to be a precursor to the events of the night. Slevo was spectacular, Strain sensational, Hammond having a huge presence amongst his mates. Speaking of our friend Chris, Nanna Blog was assured by those commentators, Twoms and Flanas, that Hammo is one of their favourites, and they love him like a grandparent loves their grandkids. Or like the South Australian grand-dad who loves not only his grandchild but also his Daughter. Actually, they probably don't like him quite that much...

The night didn't end with much of a bang, well not for the pensioner that is Nanna Blog anyway. It may have for some though, Nanna's don't tend to keep up with 'that' sort of news. All in all, end over end, if the Nanna can see out another long 12 months in her meals-on-wheels existence then there would be no doubt in her frizzled little mind that she would attend another Progressive Dinner.

Bedtime beckons for Nanna Blog. Nightie night.
