I did have the week off last week and I apologise to all my Bloggettes out there who follow my work, and hang off my every word. To all three of you, I'm sorry. I just had some other commitments which needed attending to, such as laundry, buying takeaway Chinese food, bringing it home, eating most of it, and then trying to figure out where the phrase 'Believe you me' came from...Surely someone who is dyslexic, because it sure as hell does not make sense that phrase.

Nevertheless, the Blog was out in the sun on Saturday afternoon to watch Glenn Archer and Anthony Stevens run out in the blue and white again, albeit in a darker shade of blue than usual. They were good value, the crowd absolutely loving a crunching tackle laid by Archer, and also the piece of play where Stevens hit Archer on the chest and Archer turned around and went BANG! straight through the sticks for a goal. Surely Old Melburnians were playing with us and wanted that to happen...Or were they simply that outplayed? Blog believes it to be the latter.

Archer and Stevens brought a big crowd to the game, but imagine how boisterous the Blue and White army are going to be this week when Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne line-up for CGFC. The week after will be good, when Kevin Rudd and Peter Garrett take the field, to be followed by Brangelina in Round 11; Pitt on the wing, Jolie at Centre Half Forward. Move over Sinclair, Tomb Raider is in town. After Mr. and Mrs. Smith represent our great club, it's likely that through a contact here and a contact there, we may just nab Ghandi and the Pope and hide them in the forward-pockets. That may get on Channel 7 news too, you just never know.

Speaking of that Channel, it was good of 'Arch' and 'Stevo' (Yep - we're on a first-name basis now), to give the interviewer nothing, and hold all the good stuff for the intrepid FIELDS TV reporter. Soon that interview will be up on our amazingly popular and successful online TV channel for all to see. The Blog asked the interviewer if he was nervous about interviewing the two greats. The interviewer mumbled a quiet 'sort of'. Blog responded with a 'pfft...nerves are for the faint-hearted'. On reflection though, nerves probably show that you do have a heart, and without nerves there's no adrenaline, and without adrenaline, what's the point?

I have some thinking to do, some priorities to reorder and some ideals to be readjusted. Next week shall see a new Blog - a reserved, melancholy, tranquil sort of Blog. Until then - stuff ya!
